CREATE TO reCREATE HAITI : a creative arts BENEFIT

Charlotte is overflowing with artists who love to create. On March 12-13, a group of performers, writers, and visual artists will come together to raise money for disaster relief in Haiti.

Proceeds will be donated to Doctors Without Borders, an international medical humanitarian organization working in more than 60 countries to assist people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe.

Doors open at 7 pm Friday and at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Admission: $10 (good for both days).

The weekend will feature performances by local bands including The Activity, Class Action! and Members of the Sea as well as independent musicians such as Erin Dalton, Bill Mayo, Rory Tyer and many more.

Expect performances by The Chuckleheads (improv group)slam poets, dancers, Haitians talking about their homeland. speakers, and a local improv group, The Chuckleheads

On March 13 (Saturday), there will be an art sale and silent auction featuring prints and original art from local visual artists.

Kids are welcome!  Saturday morning will include classes for children to create by drawing, writing, and acting!
